This policy keeps our network and community safe and fast for everyone. It applies to all services and to everyone who uses your server.
1. Not allowed
- Illegal content or activity, or anything that infringes someone else's rights, including copyright.
- Content that sexually exploits or endangers children. We have zero tolerance and will report it to the authorities.
- Malware, phishing, scams, spam or botnets.
- DDoS attacks, port scanning, hacking attempts or any attack on other systems, including other customers.
- Cryptocurrency mining, or other workloads that are not game server hosting, such as VPNs, open proxies, file hosting, torrenting or web scraping.
- Trying to bypass resource limits, break out of your container or access another customer's data.
- Reselling or sharing your service without our written permission.
- Harassment, hate speech, doxxing or threats toward people on or off the server.
- Breaking the Minecraft EULA or Commercial Usage Guidelines.
2. Resource abuse
Your server must not harm the stability of the node it runs on. Excessive CPU use, disk activity, network floods or runaway processes may be limited or stopped. We will contact you first when we can.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for your server, your plugins and mods, your staff and your players. Server owners must remove violating content when asked.
4. Enforcement
Depending on how serious the violation is, we may warn you, limit or suspend the service, or terminate it. Serious violations can result in immediate termination without a refund and a report to the relevant authorities.
5. Reporting abuse
To report abuse, a copyright complaint or a security problem, email support@slughosting.com with the details and any evidence.
